Kencoa Aerospace JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER
Reports To: Procurement Manager
Classification: Hourly
Department: Procurement
Pay Scale: $20 – $30 /hr.

JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for the new product introduction life cycle, from quoting to the
completion of the first article.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Review solicitation of work by studying blue prints, models, clauses, and technical
specifications that are provided by the customer
• Respond to solicitation of work by analyzing capability
• Perform risk assessment
• Generate / solicit quote requests for material and sub contract operations
• Complete and submit cost estimates using Kencoa ERP system or customer provided tool
• Review long term contracts for accuracy and capability
• Develop process plans to manufacture new product
• Initiate the induction of new suppliers as required
• Schedule and monitor first article production, and ensure on time completion / customer
shipment
• Analyze performance to plan and make adjustments as required (cost, quality, and time)
• Coordinate resources as required to support new product introduction and function as central
point of contact
• Manage customer issues
• Provide training for new team members

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of machining and sheet metal production
• Proficient in blue print reading
• Able to interpret documents such as specifications, procedures, and contracts
• Computer Skills: Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office Programs, ERP system, and
applications for viewing prints and models (CATIA)
• Math skills
• Able to prioritize numerous tasks and projects to meet required deadlines
• Able to problem solve and provide contingency plans
• Able to manage time effectively
• Good communication skills
• Written communication skills including typing, proofreading, e-mail and fax communication
• Customer service skills
• Able to work well with team members both internal and external to Kencoa
• Maintain a positive attitude in representation of the Company and its products

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Computer Literate
• Must be able to learn Kencoa MRP / ERP system (experience using MRP / ERP systems preferred)
• Blue Print Reading
• Experience using software to view drawings and models
• At least two years of experience as a Planner and / or Estimator
• Some Project Management experience or training

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Primary office environment 80%
• Secondary work in manufacturing environment with some exposure to heat, cold and noise
conditions 20%

Two Positions Available:

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: CNC MACHINIST 1 for 2ND SHIFT                     (Mon-Thurs. 3:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m.)
Reports To:         Machine Shop Lead               Classification: Hourly
Department:       Machining Department         Pay Scale:  $15 – $22 /hr.

 JOB SUMMARY

The CNC Machinist 1 is a skilled position responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC machines for the fabrication of detail parts with 1st time quality and delivery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Set-up and operate machine from set-up sheets and verbal instructions
  • Perform daily machine maintenance and checking off maintenance log
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD / basic GD&T drawings
  • Notify Lead of any machine malfunctions (maintenance or program related)
  • Use basic measuring equipment for bench top inspection
  • Operate manual mills, lathe work and/or tool making
  • Cooperate / work with teammates from all departments
  • Promote a positive attitude toward the Company and its customers
  • Be accountable for required assignments; time management; successful completion of assigned work and reports

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Use measuring equipment to verify part accuracy
  • Perform benchtop deburr and blending of parts to customer specifications
  • Read basic G & M codes in a CNC program
  • Set-up tools and make offsets, both tool and fixture
  • Good communication / problem solving skills

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred degree in Machine Tool Technology or 2 years CNC experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Primary work in manufacturing environment with some exposure to heat, cold and noise conditions
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
