JOB TITLE: SHIPPING COORDINATOR

 Reports To: Logistics Coordinator    Classification: Hourly  

 Department: Logistics                       Pay Scale: $12 – $20/hr.     

                                                                                                  

JOB SUMMARY

The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for shipping finished goods to customers/ subcontract per requirements

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Package and protect outgoing parts
  • Group parts together by size and address
  • Hand deliver parts
  • Operate forklifts
  • Use ASN programs
  • Use shipping software and E-mail
  • Order shipping supplies
  • Schedule trucks
  • Fill out BOL
  • Verify packing slips

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Operate Forklift
  • Work accurately with close attention to detail
  • Possess a work ethic that includes neatness, punctuality and accuracy
  • Computer skills

 

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in a stockroom and/or in receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment in a diversified warehouse is a plus but not a requirement

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Shipping office environment with exposure to heat, cold, and noise conditions
  • Must be physically able to lift 75 lbs., bend, stoop, climb, unload trucks, stack shipments, and deliver products

 JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:  PLANNER

Reports To: Procurement Manager                                                                                Classification:  Classification: Hourly

Department: Procurement                                                                                                Pay Scale:  $14 – $24 /hr.

 JOB SUMMARY

The Planner is responsible for meeting customer requirement for repeat work, including the release and management of jobs for repeat parts.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Contract review
  • Release repeat jobs in a timely manner to meet customer requirements
  • Schedule and monitor repeat production
  • Ensure on time completion and customer shipment
  • Determine promise dates and communicate to customer
  • Provide status on parts using Kencoa tools and / or customer portal
  • Determine requirement for first article
  • Analyze revision changes and determine impact

 

More experienced Planners will also assist with quoting repeat work

  • Review solicitation of repeat work by reviewing blue prints, models, clauses, and technical specifications for changes
  • Perform risk assessment by analyzing historical data and working with shop floor leads
  • Solicit quote requests for material and sub contract operations as required
  • Complete and submit cost estimates using Kencoa ERP system or customer provided tool

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • General knowledge of machining and sheet metal production
  • Able to read blue prints
  • Able to interpret documents such as specifications, procedures, and contracts
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office Programs, ERP system, and applications for viewing prints and models
  • Math skills
  • Able to manage time effectively
  • Good communication skills
  • Written communication skills including typing, proofreading, e-mail and fax communication
  • Customer service skills
  • Able to work well with team members both internal and external to Kencoa
  • Maintain a positive attitude in representation of the Company and its products

 

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Computer Literate
  • Must be able to learn Kencoa MRP / ERP system (experience using MRP / ERP systems preferred)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Primary office environment 70%
  • Secondary work in manufacturing environment with some exposure to heat, cold and noise conditions 30%

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Deburr Technician  
Reports To:   Production Lead
Classification: Hourly                     
Department:   Production Department     
Pay Scale:  $10 – $15 /hr.

 JOB SUMMARY

The deburr technician is responsible for the removal of burrs and detailed surface finishing of aluminum, steel, and titanium per customer specification while still maintaining dimensional accuracy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:       

  • Using ERP system to log labor activity and part accountability
  • Cleaning metals with various chemicals to remove ink markings
  • Removing burrs with pneumatic sanders, hand tools, and sanding pads
  • Surface finish prep with scotch brite hand pads
  • Performing in process inspections using dial calipers, tape measure, height gage, etc.
  • Must be able to pay attention to detail

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools
  • Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and basic GD&T
  • Use of measuring equipment to verify part accuracy
  • Good communication skills
  • Cooperate with teammates from all departments
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward the Company and its customers

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • High School Diploma or GED

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Primary work in manufacturing environment with some exposure to heat, cold and noise conditions
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Safety glasses and ear plugs required
